Accessing Privacy 101 on eLMS

Content updated on June 28, 2006

Privacy 101 is a mandatory training course for all Federal DOT Employees. All employees are required to take this training by August 30, 2006. The goal of the course is to raise awareness about the importance of protecting -- and the proper techniques for handling -- personal information by the Department.  Privacy 101 provides an introductory overview of privacy and the different laws and regulations that all DOT employees must follow. It is the first of six privacy related courses, which will include: Privacy for Web Managers, Privacy and Capital Planning, Privacy for Human Resources, Privacy for IT Managers, and Privacy for Privacy Officers.

Privacy 101 can be accessed on the DOT’s Enterprise Learning Management System (eLMS). eLMS is DOT’s web-based training system, which provides over 2,000 online courses, tracks registration for instructor-led training, and records training activities for DOT employees.

Follow these steps to access Privacy 101. If at any time you are experiencing difficulty, contact the eLMS Help Desk, at (405) 954-4568 or eLMSHelp@dot.gov.
