PBSC Advocates

In continuing with the PBSC Action Plan signed out by the Deputy Secretary in October 1999, the first meeting of the PBSC Advocates will be held on January 20, 2000 in room 10214 from 11-12 noon. The Deputy Secretary plans to attend the meeting and participate in the discussions on how to further the PBSC initiative throughout the Department. Please be prepared to share your approach to ensure that the program, budget and procurement communities throughout your organization embrace the PBSC concept. It is my understanding that this meeting has already been coordinated with your schedule. If for some reason you are unable to attend, please have your secretary contact Barbara Wilson on 366-4263. A preliminary copy of the agenda is attached for your information.

In addition, I want to remind you that the quarterly report of PBSC activity for your organization is due in January. This report is to reflect an updated list of all PBSC activity as of the last working day of the quarter. Due to the holidays, we have extended the due date for this report until January 28, 2000. The PBSC Guidance Package forwarded to you in November includes a copy of the report format. Should your staff encounter any problems in using the electronic report format, please have them contact Laverne Taylor of my staff at 366-4279.
