The PA granting DOT 8(a) contracting authority was signed on February 28, 2007.  The PA requires contracting officers, small business specialists, and other stakeholders to participate in 8(a) Business Development training, as conducted by the SBA. To ensure compliance with the training provision in the PA, the OSDBU and the SPE have agreed to host an in-house training session at the DOT Headquarters at 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE, Washington DC, 20590 in the Media Center, ground floor of the West Building, Room 8, 9, 10 on October 16, 2007 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.  A total of 2.0 continuous learning points can be obtained for taking this course.  To register for training contact raquel.valdez@dot.gov.   The PA can be viewed at:    http://www.dot.gov/ost/m60/mous/partnership_sba_dot.pdf
