OIG Notification Memorandum – Audit Start on Contractor Suspension and Debarment Process

Attached is a copy of an Office of Inspector General notification memorandum regarding initiation of an audit on the DOT Contractor Suspension and Debarment process.  While there is the potential for an audit to be conducted in all OAs, initial efforts will be focused on FHWA, FAA, FTA and OST.  An entrance meeting will be scheduled with these four organizations in the near future.  Should the OIG expand its efforts beyond this initial group, meetings will be scheduled as appropriate.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Martin Gertel on (202) 366-5145 or via e-mail at martin.gertel@dot.gov

Implementation of New GAO Financial Management Systems and the Impact on the Davis Bacon Fund

In the attached letter GAO has provided notification that it will be implementing a new financial management system, Delphi Oracle, and entering into a cross servicing arrangement with the DOT to perform certain accounting transactions to include the Davis Bacon Fund.  The Davis Bacon Fund pays out claims relating to violations of certain labor Acts.  As requested in the attached letter, payments and related documents should be forwarded to the stated address.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Lenita Ahmadi on (202) 366-4974 or via e-mail at lenita.ahmadi@dot.gov
