Contract Management Award 2007  - SPECIAL NOTICE

As announced by David Litman, Senior Procurement Executive, at the recent PMC meeting held March 28, 2007, the Chief Acquisition Officers Council (CAOC) as part of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy's (OFPP) SHINE initiative through the Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) http://www.fai.gov/workforce/awards.asp  is requesting nominations for the Contract Management Award 2007.  The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of the Senior Procurement Executive is requesting nominations of teams or individuals that have demonstrated outstanding management of the DOT’s contracts through effective contract management practices.  Nominees may be Federal Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, Contracting Officers Technical Representatives (COTRs), Program or Project Managers, other Acquisition Professionals, or Teams that include any of these individuals.  Two awards will be given – one for a civilian agency team or individual and one for a defense agency team or individual.  Each award is $5,000, and nominations are due April 20, 2007.  However, a reasonable extension in time may be granted for nominations, if warranted.
