Interstate 69 (I-69) Corridor - Texas

The Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) is a proposed multi-use, statewide network of transportation routes that will incorporate both existing and new highways, railways, and utility right-of-ways. The Interstate 69 corridor is one of the first elements of the TTC to be developed. The proposed I-69/TTC corridor extends from Texarkana/Shreveport to Mexico, a distance of approximately 650 miles.

A two-tiered approach is being implemented for the environmental studies of the corridor. The Tier 1 study will focus on the entire corridor and will result in a preferred corridor roughly 4 miles wide and a no-build option. If a preferred corridor is selected, Tier 2 studies will provide the information needed to narrow the corridor and select the final alignment.
