Associate CIO for Business Technology Alignment & Governance

As the Associate CIO for Business Technology Alignment & Governance, Kristen is responsible for IT strategy, policy, business planning, governance, investment management, Enterprise Architecture, and portfolio management.  She is the Senior Accountable Official for the OMB PortfolioStat initiative.  She also leads the Department’s Open Government initiative and New Media efforts.

Previously she served as the Director of the Resource Management Office (RMO) for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) where she focused on strategic communications, procurement, budget, and human resource efforts. 

Kristen has more than twelve years of experience in portfolio and resource management and strategic communications within the federal government. She received her BA from the University of Virginia and an MS in Information Systems from the George Washington University.
