Organization Chart

The chart is titled "U.S. Department of Transportation" and consists of five levels. The first level of the chart is the Secretary with the Deputy Secretary immediately below. The next level consists of the Associate Deputy Secretary/Office of Intermodalism.

The next level contains eight offices whose names follow: Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance, Executive Secretariat, Office of Civil Rights, Board of Contract Appeals, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, Office of Intelligence and Security, Office of Public Affairs, and Office of the Chief Information Officer.

The next level contains seven offices. Their names are as follows: General Counsel, Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy, Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs, Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs/Chief Financial Officer, Assistant Secretary for Government Affairs, Assistant Secretary for Administration, and Office of Inspector General.

The final level consists of the following ten offices: Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Highway administration, Federal Railroad Administration, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Federal Transit Administration, Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, Maritime Administration, Research and Special Programs Administration, Bureau of Transportation Statistics and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
