Service Animal Guidance
This notice publishes a revision to the Department of Transportation’s Guidance Concerning Service Animals in Air Transportation, originally published in the Federal Register on November 1, 1996 (61 FR 56409, 56420). It is the result of the Department’s review of a September 19, 2002, submission of suggested improvements to the existing guidance from representatives of the disability community and the airline industry.
