The
following statement by Federal Railroad Administrator Allan Rutter was issued
today regarding the appointment of Roger Nober to the U.S. Surface
Transportation Board.
“I'm
extremely pleased by Roger's nomination to become a member, and upon
confirmation, Chairman of the Surface Transportation Board,” said Rutter.
“Roger's extensive background in transportation policy, strengthened by
his most recent experience at the U.S. Department of Transportation, makes him
ideally suited to take on this new challenge.
I very much look forward to working with him on issues of mutual interest
to both the STB and the Federal Railroad Administration, and wish him all the
luck in this new endeavor.”
